About Siboney's Scents

I'm Kimberly Siboney Ordoñez, a proud Guatemalan and founder of Siboney's Scents. Born in El Puerto San Jose, Guatemala, and raised in the San Fernando Valley, California. Siboney's Scents was born as a cherished hobby, but what truly captivated me was learning about the profound connection between scents and our brains. For me, this connection is deeply personal. The years spent growing up under my grandmother's care in a small coastal town have left a profound imprint, and, years later, certain aromas can instantly transport me back to those cherished times. 

The process of creation, from the initial melt to the final product, brought an immense sense of joy. But the greatest reward was always the act of gifting: seeing a handmade, thoughtfully crafted item bring light and warmth to a loved one’s space. That simple pleasure of the craft and the desire to share it with others is what fueled this transformation from a passion project into a dedicated business.

The pleasure of giving, the connection scents have to the past, and the power we hold in the present are the true inspirations behind our candles. They are designed to be more than just beautiful scents; they are a bridge—a connection to the memories we have buried, a reminder of the present moment, and a small, luminous light that can be brought into any space.

At Siboney's Scents, we are dedicated to creating premium, hand-poured candles that transform everyday spaces into calming and sophisticated sanctuaries.

You can trust that when you burn a Siboney's Scents candle, you are enjoying a clean, high-quality, and thoughtfully sourced product.

All our candles are hand-poured in small batches, ensuring exceptional quality and care in every vessel.

We use a high-quality 100% soy wax, which offers a clean, long-lasting burn.

Our candles feature wooden wicks and of course high-quality fragrance oils.

The complex fragrances used in our Siboney's Scents candles are expertly crafted from a combination of natural essential oils and synthetic aroma chemicals. This carefully formulated blend allows us to create beautiful, consistent scents while maintaining the highest safety standards.

All our fragrance oils adhere to the strict safety standards set by the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) and the International Fragrance Association (IFRA).

Furthermore, we utilize fragrances that meet the rigorous clean scent program standards, ensuring they are non-toxic when used for candle making, and are:

  • Manufactured without phthalates.

  • Made without ingredients listed on the California Proposition 65 list.

  • Free from known organ toxins and acute toxins.
